Founder

David Battle

David Battle founded Battle Packaging in 1977 to provide packaging solutions and support to food and beverage companies. He has served as president of the company since 1977 and been recognized with a multitude of awards for supply chain excellence and innovative packaging concepts that have led to meaningful growth and success of client beverages.

Prior to forming Battle Packaging, he was with International Paper Company servicing food and beverage companies including Anheuser Busch, Coca-Cola, and Kraft Foods.

Mr. Battle has a Bachelors in Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia. He is a former President of the Georgia Beverage Association (georgiabev.org) and is involved with a number of philanthropic and educational organizations.

Executive Vice President

John Wiles, Jr.

John Wiles joined Battle Packaging in 2018 and serves as a Senior Vice President. In this capacity, he oversees the provision of the company's products and services to support the growth and success of its customers.

Prior to joining Battle Packaging, Mr. Wiles managed a portfolio of last mile freight delivery businesses on behalf of Broad Pine Investments. There he was responsible for operations that included delivery services for daily routes in Georgia, Tennessee, and Illinois as well as related investment and expansion activities.

Mr. Wiles earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia.

Executive Vice President

Andrew Woodward

Andrew Woodward joined Battle Packaging in 2018 and serves as a Senior Vice President. He has overseen the re-engineering of internal processes and operations using modern software and IT solutions.

Previously Andrew was the Director of Technology at Battle Investment Group where he was responsible for the oversight of existing technology systems as well as the planning and implementation of new technology systems to support efficient operations and strategic objectives within Battle Investment Group and its portfolio companies. Prior to Battle Investment Group, Andrew was the Chief Technology Officer of Garner Health, a consulting firm that specializes in post-reform healthcare law and compliance, specifically supporting mergers, acquisitions, and post-closing integration work for hospital clients and other healthcare providers. Earlier in his career, Andrew served as Director of Protective Apparel at Warwick Mills, a high-performance materials engineering firm that supports customers in military and law enforcement markets.

Andrew has a B.S. in Business Administration from Babson College.

Vice President, Sales

Sawyer Lisk

Sawyer Lisk joined Battle Packaging in January of 2019. As the Vice President of Sale, he is charged with spearheading the sales efforts to increase our current footprint within the beverage packaging industry, while utilizing our current strategic Glass, Can, and Packaging partners in place.

Prior to moving back to Atlanta from New York City to join B+A, Sawyer spent 10 years in the Beer Industry on the Branding, Experiential Marketing, Sales Execution, and Distribution side throughout multiple cities in the US and Canada.

He Holds a Bachelor’s of Science with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Missouri – Saint Louis.

Director of Operations

Nolan Sullivan

Nolan Sullivan joined Battle Packaging in 2019.  As Director of Operations, Nolan supports a broad range of operational functions including logistics, inventory management, and customer service. Additionally, Nolan manages all day-to-day accounting functions and regularly assists in financial analysis.

Nolan earned a Bachelor of Finance degree from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.

Director of Glass Operations

Michael Hicks

Michael Hicks joined Battle Packaging in 2021.  He serves as the Director of Glass Operations and supports the operational functions for glass customers including logistics, inventory management, and customer service. Additionally, Michael assist with day-to-day accounting functions and regularly assists in financial analysis.

Michael earned a Bachelor of Finance degree from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.
